Referees- The Burke Basketball referee program is designed for individuals who have an interest in deepening their understanding of the game of basketball.
Each fall, our organization trains referees to officiate games for the winter, spring and summer seasons.   Registration is required prior to the beginning of each Fall/Winter season and is good through the following Summer season.
Rookie teen refs (students with no prior basketball officiating experience) must have turned 13 years old on or before October 1st of this year.
Attending the training sessions is mandatory. Please note that Burke Basketball will do its best to assign games to all candidates that complete the training but there are occasionally more prospective applicants each season than there are available games.
Dates and times for the 2021/22 season classroom and court training will be announced soon.
